Resource Center
Central City Opera offers resource materials for teachers, students and opera goers. Teacher/student resource guides connect performances to classroom curriculum and learning goals for K-12 students. Study materials and activities may also be used by families or adults who wish to learn more about opera or specific productions. Please click on the appropriate items in the lists below. How the West Was Sung Study Guide (pdf)
Frontier history comes alive through the stories of Leadville Silver King Horace Tabor and his beautiful wife Baby Doe; Molly Brown, known as Unsinkable; Clara Brown, freed slave and Colorado Pioneer; and other assorted western characters.

For ages 10-18 and families. This 50-minute bilingual (English/Spanish) opera addresses the universal theme of coming of age - finding your own voice and learning who you are amid parental expectations and peer influences. Resource guide includes lesson plans in language arts and social studies.

Esta ópera bilingüe (Ingles/Español) aborda el tema universal del paso de la niñez a la adultez – el hallar nuestra voz propia, aprendiendo quienes somos en el entorno de las expectativas de nuestros padres y la influencia de nuestros pares.
