Central City Opera, located less than an hour from Denver in the foothills of the Rockies, is the second oldest opera festival in the United States. The 550-seat opera house, a historic landmark in Central City, affords an intimate, innovative opera experience. The year-round administrative offices are located in Denver, Colorado.
In addition to its main stage productions, Central City Opera is noted for its famed Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Artists Training Program, dedicated to the education and development of emerging opera singers.

Applications for the 2026 Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Artists Training Program have closed.
Applications for the 2027 Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Artists Training Program will open in the Summer of 2026.
Vocal Auditions
For those interested in general submissions (principal artists only), please have your management reach out with an inquiry. Unmanaged singers may submit materials and a cover letter indicating interest to [email protected].
Central City Opera holds annual auditions for the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Artists Training Program and for Central City Opera’s Education and Community Engagement Programs. The 2027 BSFATP application will open in Summer of 2026.
