Throughout the year, Central City Opera is proud to present a number of concerts, cabarets, education programs and other performances across the region. Additionally, Central City Opera hosts fun and innovative fundraisers throughout the year that support the four pillars of the company: Artist Training, Historic Properties, Education and the yearly Festival. Please consider attending one of our fundraising events to help sustain these necessary programs!

Laugh & Learn Series - Virtual Opera 101

Familiarize yourself with CCO’s upcoming Festival season by attending our virtual Laugh & Learn series. Join us for riveting discussions on Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Pirates of Penzance,” Puccini’s “The Girl of the Golden West/La fanciulla del West” and Kurt Weill’s “Street Scene” via Zoom, where our experts will unravel the controversial history and significance of these operatic gems. Attendance is free, but registration is required.

Education Showcase at Regis University

Curious about CCO’s Education & Community Engagement offerings? Join us on March 10 at 2pm at Claver Hall at Regis University for a showcase featuring Frida Khalo and the Bravest Girl in the World, select scenes from our newest mental health program for youth, Chiaroscuro, excerpts from our children’s program Musical Menagerie, and highlights from our Spanish-language concert, ¡Fiesta! 2024 Theatre of Dreams Gala

Join Central City Opera and Denver’s top arts supporters, community leaders and business executives for our premier fundraising gala on Friday, April 5, 2024. Soprano Sara Gartland performs and Judy & Newell Grant will be honored for their contributions to CCO over the years.

Colorado Music Hall of Fame Induction Dinner

Central City Opera, along with opera singers Cynthia Lawrence and Keith Miller, and the late conductor John Moriarty, will be inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in its first “destination” induction to be held in Central City, Colorado, on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
