Dear Patrons, Partners and Supporters,
At Central City Opera, the safety of our patrons, artists and employees is our top priority. Central City Opera is closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and recommendations from the CDC, government officials and the SCFD. We are working with our partner venues and organizations to make the best decisions about how to proceed with any upcoming public events over the next few weeks. Many of our school and community performances for the next two weeks have already been canceled. Our Box Office and Administrative Office will be closed next week, and our employees will be working remotely.
While health and safety standards and procedures are always followed, we want to make you aware of the extra precautions we’re taking in preparation for our 2020 Festival to ensure that everyone stays as healthy as possible during this time of heightened concern about COVID-19. We are increasing the frequency of cleaning in all public and backstage areas. We are enhancing our cleaning and disinfecting procedures to focus on surfaces of that have heavy public contact (door handles, restrooms) and providing additional soap and hand sanitizer dispensers to aid in complying with CDC hand cleaning recommendations.
In order to protect our patrons, employees and artists, anyone who is experiencing cold or flu symptoms, or who is not feeling well, is asked to please stay home and contact our Box Office at 303.292.6700 or boxoffice@centralcityopera.org for more information about ticket exchange policies.
We hope that by the time we approach our 2020 Festival this summer, the health risk will be minimized. However, we will continue to monitor the situation in order to make the right decision to ensure that our patrons have a safe and healthy experience at Central City Opera. We will communicate any changes to our programs with you as soon as possible through our website, email, mail and by phone.
Take care of yourselves and each other,
Pelham “Pat” Pearce
General/Artistic Director, Central City Opera
