At Central City Opera, we believe great opera should be accessible to everyone in our community, especially the local Gilpin County residents who help make what we do possible. That’s why we’re excited to announce our new Gilpin County Rush Ticket program, generously sponsored by The Mountain-Ear Newspaper.
For the entirety of the 2025 Central City Opera Summer Festival, Gilpin County residents can purchase rush tickets for just $10. Simply visit our box office one hour before the show begins with your Gilpin County ID or a piece of mail showing your local address. If there is an unsold seat in the opera house, it can be yours for just $10. Terms and conditions apply.
This program is our way of saying “thank you” to our local community and ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience live performance, regardless of budget constraints.

Terms and conditions:
- $10 price includes 5% Central City Admissions Fee.
- Must present a valid, government-issued photo ID or piece of mail showing Gilpin County address to qualify.
- Limit 2 tickets per household, per performance.
- Rush tickets are valid for all CCO Summer Festival Mainstage performances, including the Nina Odescalchi Kelly Young Artists Matinee and CCO in Concert: Opera’s Greatest Hits.
- Subject to seating availability and box office discretion, on a first-come, first-serve basis
