As Colorado enters its 150th year as an American state, Central City Opera is proud to present In Regard To Nature, a photography exhibition by Colorado artist and Gilpin Arts Association member Dustin Keirns. A gallery opening reception will take place in advance of our opening night of CCO In Concert.

“In Regard to Nature explores the relationship between humans and the landscape in a dialogue of place and self. Created throughout Colorado, these photographs are spaces where imaginative dramas unfold through scale, form, and color, evoking an emotional resonance of place. The work considers how encounters with the landscape can shape our understanding of presence, belonging, and our connection to the natural world. To stand within the vastness of the landscape is to recognize both our smallness and our significance—a metaphor for existence.”

The exhibition includes nine large-scale framed archival pigment prints. Each photograph is printed by Dustin in his studio and available in limited editions.
