Where is the Box Office?
DENVER: 4875 Ward Rd, Ste 100, Wheat Ridge CO 80033. Hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

What should I wear?
There is no dress code for performances. Many patrons choose to wear cocktail or formal wear. Others come in comfortable, business-casual attire.
Because we are located in a historic opera house in mountain setting, we recommend bringing a warm layer to keep you comfortable. It can get chilly in the evenings in the mountains, and the weather often changes quickly.
Will I understand what’s happening on stage?
Central City Opera provides English translations (supertitles) on either side of the stage for all main stage performances, whether they’re being sung in English or another language, so you can understand and follow the story.
Supertitles are not always available for performances outside of the Opera House, but translations are provided for shows that are not sung in English.
Are performances kid-friendly?
Audience members of all ages are welcome as long as they have a ticket! However, some operas contain mature content and may not be appropriate for children. Check the show summaries on the ticketing pages to find out more about each opera. Disruptive or noisy children may be asked to leave the Opera House.
Each summer, we offer a matinee performance tailored to families, which includes a narrated introduction from our Education staff and special activities for kids and families before and after the show. Contact the Box Office for more information.

Accessibility Information
Wheelchair accessible seating is located on the first floor of the Opera House, which can be accessed through the garden entrance on the uphill side of the building. Call the Box Office to reserve seats at 303-292-6700 and please make sure to share any specific needs when you place your order. Stairs are required to access any seat from Row J or higher in this historic building.
Assisted listening devices – lightweight infrared headsets – are available in limited number for all performances at no extra charge and without prior reservation. These devices are available by contacting an usher in exchange for an approved photo ID which will be returned at the conclusion of the performance.
Supertitles are available at most performances inside the opera house. These English translations of the opera are visible on either side of the stage. Supertitles may not be available for concerts, special events or performances in English.
If you experience any problems or concerns during any Central City Opera performance, please notify an usher immediately or speak with the House Manager.
What time should I arrive for a performance?
We suggest arriving about 30 minutes before a performance to ensure that you are able to park, take in the charming historic setting and get comfortably seated. We do not allow late entry due to the intimacy of our Opera House, so plan for plenty of time to get here.
Doors open 30 minutes prior to performances. Free talks with artistic staff are available before all performances (excluding the Family Matinee) 45 minutes before curtain in the Williams Stables building, located across the street from the Teller House.

What if I am late?
We do not allow late seating, so arrive early! Due to the historic and incredibly intimate nature of our venue, it is difficult to seat latecomers without interrupting the rest of the audience’s experience.
If you arrive late, we offer a live television stream of the performance in our Terrace Room on the ground floor of the Teller House. Patrons can watch there until seating is again appropriate, which may not be until after the first intermission.
We recommend arriving early to ensure that your needs are met and you’re able to get seated. Mountain traffic in the summer can vary, so please plan accordingly. Learn more about directions, traffic updates and parking here.
Where are the restrooms?
Wheelchair-accessible restrooms are located outside of the Opera House, to the left of the brick patio/upper Opera House gardens, and a single stall wheelchair-accessible restroom is located on the first floor of the Teller House. Additional restrooms are located downstairs in the lower level of the Teller House.
Accessible drinking fountains are located outside of the Opera House on the brick patio/upper Opera House gardens.
What do I do if I lost my tickets?
Day of performance: Please go directly to the Box Office in Central City at the Teller House for replacement issuance.

Smoking and E-Cigarettes
Smoking of any kind (including vaping and e-cigarettes) is prohibited inside all Central City Opera facilities, including the Teller House and the Opera House. The Colorado Clean Air Act also prohibits smoking of any kind in a 25-foot radius of all entryways and doors. Smoking marijuana in public places is also illegal in the state of Colorado. Please respect the health and enjoyment of patrons and families, and follow these rules and local laws.
What is the 5% Admissions Fee being added to my ticket purchase?
The Central City Council has passed an ordinance that a 5% Admissions Fee must be added to all ticketed events. This mandatory fee is remitted in full to the Central City government, but included in the price of all relevant tickets.
Central City Opera will now be required to add this fee to the price of all ticket purchases to events in Central City. For online purchases, you will see the total cost of your tickets, including fees, before payment online. For phone purchases, our Box Office will always confirm your final cost with you prior to finalizing your order.
