Central City Opera Announces its 2017 Theatre of Dreams Gala

The 2017 event follows the highly successful galas in the preceding three years and continues the tradition of choosing inspiring locations for the event. This year the Theatre of Dreams Gala begins at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28 and will be held at the sleek brand-new $15 million Mike Ward Maserati headquarters. Located at 1850 Lucent Court in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, the venue is an impressive setting nestled against the foothills with picturesque windows showcasing incredible mountain views.

Soprano, Elizabeth Welch, who will be the entertainment for the evening, is a native of Parker, Colorado, and received her undergraduate degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  She fell in love with musicals at a young age, thanks to Julie Andrews, The Music Man, and her record of Jesus Christ, Superstar.  Now she’s living a dream come true, starring as Christine on Broadway in Andrew Lloyd Weber’s The Phantom of the Opera.  Along with a very special set from The Phantom of the Opera, the program will include a variety of other musical theater pieces.

To commemorate Central City Opera’s 85th year, patrons and guests will be treated to captivating images from Central City Opera’s past and present, turning the new Mike Ward Maserati venue into a vibrant Festa di Musica! The black tie evening will include a selection of fine wines and a seated dinner provided by Catering by Design.  The incredible evening will be capped off with late night dancing, creative cocktails and treats. For more information on this incredible event, visit Theatre of Dreams Gala. Attendees will also have first access to purchase tickets to the 2017 Dream Events, a popular aspect of Central City Opera’s year-long special engagements throughout Denver and along the front-range.  The Dream Events offer patrons behind-the-scenes access to select locations and once-in-a-lifetime experiences, including exclusive dinners, tours, cocktail offerings, wine tours, private lectures and more.
