Il trovatore is notorious for its complicated plot set to some of the most glorious music that Verdi ever composed. The intense story weaves a tale of passion, jealousy and vengeance surrounding Count di Luna and the gypsy Azucena, who has sworn her revenge on the di Luna family. Singers have risen to greatness because of their performance of this musical masterpiece.
