2020 Festival Family Events
The 2020 Central City Opera Festival runs from July 4 through August 2 in the historic town of Central City, Colorado. Founded in 1932, Central City Opera is the fifth oldest professional opera company in the country and takes place at 8,500 feet above sea level in an exquisite, 550-seat jewel box theater. Additional festival activities for families can be found throughout the duration of the season and a visit to the mountain town during the summer is always an adventure for all ages!

Nina Odescalchi kelly family matinee
The Nina Odescalchi Kelly Family Matinee is a child-friendly, narrated matinee performed by the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation Young Artists Training Program. Don’t miss the Central City Opera Ushers sing their famous song before the show!
For only $10, you can add Opera Adventures to your matinee ticket and partake in kid-friendly activities before the Family Matinee that have been designed to educate and entertain families about the performance and opera in general. Bring a picnic lunch to enjoy before the performance!
