The Opera House is located in Central City one mile up the hill from Black Hawk in central Colorado. It takes about one hour to drive from downtown Denver or from Boulder to Central City. The street address of the Central City Opera House (we cannot receive any postal mail at this address) is:

Denver performances of Show Boat take place at the Denver Performing Arts Complex, 1101 13th Street, Denver, CO 80204.
Central City is less than 40 miles from Denver. Take I-70 west into the mountains and Exit 243 for an eight mile drive on the safe and scenic Central City Parkway. As you enter Central City, turn left at the stop sign onto Main Street. At the end of the street, turn left onto Eureka Street. The Opera House is up the street on your left at 124 Eureka Street.
Want to know if there are any delays on I-70? The Colorado Department of Transportation has numerous resources you can use. Remember that the Central City Parkway exit is between the exits for US-6 and CO-103 Idaho Springs. During 2013 there is major construction in the area due to the Twin Tunnels Expansion Project. Please plan accordingly as there is no late seating until intermission.

ALTERNATE ROUTE FROM GOLDEN:
US-6 to I-70 West
From Golden, take Clear Creek Canyon/US-6 west to SR-119 (right). In Black Hawk, turn left (Southwest, in front of Bullwhacker's Casino) onto Black Hawk/Gregory Street and continue as it changes names to SR-279, Main Street, Lawrence Street and finally Eureka Street by the Opera House.
FROM BOULDER (SCENIC):
Take Broadway south. Go west on Canyon Blvd [SR-119]. Bear left (South) onto SR-72 [continues as SR-119]. Continue south and west on SR-72 [SR-119] to Black Hawk. In Black Hawk, turn left (Southwest, in front of Bullwhacker's Casino) onto Black Hawk/Gregory Street and continue as it changes names to SR-279, Main Street, Lawrence Street and finally Eureka Street by the Opera House.
FROM IDAHO SPRINGS OR ANY LOCATION WEST ON I-70:
Follow I-70 East past Idaho Springs, then follow the CONSTRUCTION DETOUR signs for Exit 243. (The exit has been moved slightly due to the Twin Tunnels Expansion Project during the summer of 2013. Please plan accordingly as there is no late seating until intermission.)
Free covered parking, based on availability, is offered at Century Casino, located about 1 block down the hill from the opera house. Some additional street parking is available in Central City, but please pay attention to posted signs as to whether they are specifically designed for patrons of other businesses in the area, as towing is enforced in some lots.
Buses can drop passengers off in front of the Opera House. Bus parking is available at the city lot by the RV park.
The Central City Free Ride operates on a 30-minute schedule with service to existing bus stop locations in Black Hawk and Central City. Be sure to look for the black and green shuttles when you're in Black Hawk. The Central City Opera House is a short walk uphill from either the Famous Bonanza or Johnny Z bus stops.

The shuttle stops in Central City at Johnny Z's Casino, Century Casino/Bonanza/Dostal Alley, and The Reserve. In Black Hawk, the shuttle locations are at Canyon Casino, Isle of Capri, Mardi Gras and Ameristar Casino. (Black and green shuttles only.)
