WHO: The Central City Opera presents its annual professional development workshop for teaching artists and educators of all disciplines and grade levels.

WHAT: Master teaching artists from the service organization Opera America will guide attendees through a process that can be replicated and adapted with students of all ages, using opera to enhance core subjects while developing 21st century skills - communication, collaboration and creative thinking.

Participants will learn about Puccini's masterpiece La bohème as an example of a great work, while also gaining practical experience and methods for creating original musical works themselves and with students. Workshop attendees are offered an optional ticket to a performance of La bohème at Central City Opera at a greatly reduced price.

Three Graduate Credits are available through the University of Colorado for a cost of $180.
