Intrigued by the conversation about the death penalty in Colorado? You’re invited to join Central City Opera next Thursday for a FREE interfaith religious round table discussion about this charged topic. FREE ADMISSION.
Hear varying religious perspectives on the debate and share in the personal stories of a spiritual journey in dealing with the death penalty from Bob Autobee, father of slain corrections officer and vocal advocate against the death penalty. Panelists include Mr. Autobee and spiritual leaders from the Jewish and Catholic faiths, along with a representative from Colorado Right to Life.
The panel will be moderated by attorney James R. Prochnow of GreenbergTraurig LLP and hosted by the Constitutional Rights and Remedies Program of Denver Law.
This event is part of Central City Opera’s Prisons, Compassion and Redemption Project, a series of thought-provoking events related to the themes of this summer’s opera Dead Man Walking. Tickets to Dead Man Walking (July 5-25, Central City Opera House) start at just $20.
Listen as Sister Helen, author of the book Dead Man Walking, describes how the opera brings this very relevant and passionate topic to a deeper level. It’s a conversation you don’t want to miss!
