Williams Stables Theatre (across the street from the Opera House)
Tickets can be purchased at the door the day of the event; cash only, please.
This event is a great intro for opera novices, or for opera pros who want to know more about what goes on behind the scenes. Begin with an introductory session in the historic Williams Stables Theatre that includes a performance of excerpts from The Ballad of Baby Doe with Central City Opera Ensemble Artists. Then go backstage in the famous Opera House to learn more about the inner workings involved in getting an opera on stage, from costumes and wigs, to lighting and set design. You’ll also learn about Central City history as you tour the Teller House. All ages welcome.
This event is sponsored by the Central City Opera Guild.
